It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dr. Richard Rifkin
He was adored by all who knew him for his quick wit, incredible passion for dentistry, and the meticulous care of his dedicated patients he has had the pleasure of working with for over 35 years. Dr. Richard Rifkin’s brilliant mind, optimistic outlook, zest for life, infectious laugh and kind heart left us far too soon; he will be missed by so many.
Richard Rifkin, DMD, MAGD, was an award-winning dentist who was proud to have served his patients in Yorktown Heights and Carmel, New York, for over 30 years. The founder of Rifkin Dental, Dr. Rifkin went above and beyond for his dental patients to ensure the communities in Westchester and Putnam counties north of New York City received the best treatment available.
Accomplished in his field, Dr. Rifkin was a proud member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Rifkin earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In addition, he was a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and had also studied at The Pankey Institute in Florida.
In the past, Dr. Rifkin had received the AGD Mastership Award, which is the highest honor from the Academy of General Dentistry, and was one of just 2,300 AGD Masters. Dr. Rifkin was committed to living up to this honor by providing the highest-quality care to his patients and developing valuable, lasting relationships.
When he was not at work, Dr. Rifkin loved to exercise, whether playing tennis or skiing.
